Abstract

One of the approaches that has recently entered the field of management and can best motivate and guide innovation in the field of human resource management is the Internet of Things. The basis of this concept is the assumption that all objects can communicate with each other via the Internet. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to identify the components of human resources in the Internet of Things, based on previous researches in this field and to extract the relevant components based on the meta-combination method. Hypertext is not an extract from the interpretations of similar studies; rather, it is the integration of the interpretation of the main findings of the selected studies to create comprehensive and interpretive findings that indicate the researcher's deep understanding in this regard. Using these 5 keywords: “IoT”, “human resources”, “IoT and human resources”, “human resource management”, and “human resource information system” to explore and exploit the Emerald, ProQuest, SID, and Web of Science databases, as well as Google, the researchers have reviewed scholar and student dissertations defended in recent years. In the evaluation process, the researchers selected 20 articles out of 921 articles and dissertations for data analysis. Findings of this study showed that components such as databases (data collection and transmission), human relations in the organization, human resource monitoring, human resource components and processes, human resource information system (HRIS), pre-deployment requirements, and post-deployment requirements must be intelligently monitored by human resource managers. Also, the relationship with human resource systems and processes needs to be considered more than other dimensions, and then it is important to address the dimensions of challenges and features resulting from the effects of the establishment of the Internet of Things on human resources. The more human resource managers can explore the basic themes presented in this research, the more easy and less challenging, the IoT-based human resource system would be installed, deployed, and evaluated.
